Art Basel Miami features “Women On The Walls”

Miss Van Women on the Walls

This year was a great year for Art Basel in Miami. From South Beach to Biscayne to Wynwood, the streets were filled with artists and art lovers alike eager to take in all that this year’s event had to offer. One of my favorite locations in Wynwood, The Wynwood Walls, was home to a very special exhibit in honor of international female artists. The exhibit was named “Women On The Walls” and featured influential artists from all around the World including some famous female talent like: Aiko from Japan, Miss Van based in Barcelona, Fafi from Paris, Maya Hayuk and Lady Pink from New York. There were also amazing features by: Claw Money from New York, Jess & Katie from Baltimore, Myla from Australia, Olek from Poland, Shamsia Hassani from Afghanistan, and Too Fly from New York, Faith 47 from South Africa, Kashink from Paris, Lakwena from London, and Sheryo from Singapore.

New York based photographer, Martha Cooper, captured some amazing photographs of these Artists and the progression of the Murals this year.
