If you were lucky enough to snag a pair of the eBay exclusive Nike Air Mags that were auctioned for charity in 2011, then you know what dope packaging looks like. Now if you thought it was cool to get them shipped from Hill Valley (I was so hatin, but it’s all good) , then you had that special box, and all that; Now what do we have here. While other promo pairs of the Air Mag have come in alternate packaging, like the costume version for example, but none as legitimate release as this has been seen—until now. This pair comes in an actual yellow plutonium case, just like the one seen in Back To The Future (and in real life, umm, maybe). The shoes are strapped down to the bottom of a glass case, making the ultimate display for any sneakerhead or BTTF collector. They even have a slot near the bottom of the box, where you can pull out a vial of plutonium (not the real stuff). These however, do not auto-lace, that feature will not be available until later this year (It’s 2015 Nike times ticking…. just saying) . No question though, this still is the ultimate Air Mag set that any hardcore fan could EVER want (for now). Limited and numbered to 40, they won’t be available at stores at all. To whom ever was the lucky soul that purchased the size 13 pair that was up for grabs on eBay, please take good care of them for me. because I will be around soon to collect. Maybe not for $33k though ….. Happy Hunting … CD Spitz
If you thought the packaging for the eBay exclusive Nike Mag auctions from 2011 were cool, think again.
