dEnAuN “sTuFf In My BaCkPaCk”

Dude. Where’s my… backpack? dEnAuN, a.k.a. Mr. Porter, just lost his backpack and it’s a damn shame. (SMH. Ugh. I feel his pain. OMG. That blows.) Don’t worry, it’s cool because last week he released a solid six song EP all about it called “sTuFf In My BaCkPaCk“. (Is this really all about a lost backpack??) Ok… well maybe it’s about more than just losing the backpack but it inspired him, nontheless. He also creatively switches up the wordplay on topics like friendship, lovers and enemies. The EP is co-produced by Dj TJ the King, Cutty Dre and Brandon Williams and is filled with plenty of soulful, smoothed out and at times high energy beats. (Does he have any features though?) Pffffffft. Like you had to ask. Royce Da 5’9″, Phonte, Pharoahe Monch and Rapsody are in attendance. This kind of dope deserves your undivided attention. The project celebrates classic, old school hip hop flavor which dEnAuN embraces as one of his favorite times in Hip Hop history.

“These songs all gave me a retro feel of my favorite time in Hip Hop, which I call the Tribe era, a fun time in music when you never knew what to expect. This is my interpretation of that. This is the #sTuFfInMyBaCkPaCk.” – dEnAuN

He ain’t lying. This EP is F-U-N. (For real, for real. We hope he found his backpack, though.) Me too, Son. Me too. In the meantime, press play.
