From his beginning as a Producer to his recent debut as a solo artist, Ande Bishop is determined to make waves in the Southern Rap scene. He has been well received and respected for tracks like “50 Centences” (first premiered in The Source) and second release “$77.43”. The artist continues to create ripples of success this year, signing a deal with Seven 13 Entertainment and working on various solo projects. His new EP, “OCEAN$”, has been released on the 19th and includes production by several of the American Roulette roster and Taylor $upreme (Yukmouth, Freddie Gibbs, E-40, Trae the Truth).“OCEAN$” is a perfect title for the EP which consists of seven smooth tracks that will keep you wavy from beginning to end. One of my personal favorites includes “How It Feels” which includes a throwback sample of “Shorty Swing My Way”. Ande’s delivery seems effortless in a “Hey guys… I just recorded this dope EP in a 72 hours” type of way. (And he actually did).
“I called it OCEAN$ because music comes to me in waves. It was an overwhelming amount of inspiration that I had for the album.” – Ande Bishop on “Rapping With Leiberman”
This is the kind of creativity that naturally comes from Ande’s love of music and his ability to go with the flow. Preview some of Ande Bishop’s “OCEAN$” EP on Soundcloud below, then cop the full EP on itunes!
