Lauryn Hill’s rendition of “A Cradle In Bethlehem”

Originally written in the ’20s and made popular by Nat King Cole in 1960, Lauryn Hill shares her cover of “A Cradle in Bethlehem” just in time for your holiday celebrations. While the song is apparently unfinished, she wanted to nonetheless share it on Christmas Day (rest assured, Ms. Hill: it sounds great).

In addition to “A Cradle in Bethlehem,” Lauryn has also announced that she will kick off 2016 with two intimate performances in Washington, D.C. at the Howard Theatre on January 1, and in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Bowl on January 4.

Listen to Lauryn Hill’s rendition of “A Cradle in Bethlehem” below, and Nat King Cole’s version below that.
